Election Information

Local Elections

There may be local elections taking place in your county this year. Contact your county Clerk for more information on any local elections in which you may be eligible to participate. Not every county has an election taking place. We will update this page with any local elections as we become aware of them.

  • Local May Town, Bond, Special District Formation, and subsequent Director Elections will be held on May 6, 2025, if applicable. Regular absentee voting will start on April 8th, 2025.
  • Local August Bond Elections will be held on August 19, 2025, if applicable. Regular absentee voting will start on July 22nd, 2025.
  • Local November Bond, and subsequent Special District Director Elections will be held on November 4, 2025, if applicable. Regular absentee voting will start on October 7th, 2025.

The first Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA) ballots will be sent out 45 days prior to each election for eligible voters. If you have any questions about receiving and returning your ballot, please contact your county Clerk.

About Our Office

We have a long history of serving the public. Beginning in April 1869 with the appointment of the first Secretary of the Territory of Wyoming, Edward M. Lee, by United States President Ulysses S. Grant, this office has always served the public from the State Capitol Building. However, following the completion of the Capitol Renovation Project in 2019, the Office is now located at Herschler Building East, Suites 100 and 101.
