Caution to Wyoming Business Owners

Dear Wyoming Business Owner,


We, at the Secretary of State's Office, have recently become aware of a letter from a private company called "Annual Business Services" offering to prepare Annual Minutes for the fee of $125. The Secretary of State is notifying you that this letter of solicitation is NOT from the Secretary of State's Office or any other government agency.


While the Secretary of State's Office does require the filing of annual reports, we do not require the filing of annual minutes. If you receive such a solicitation, (for the preparation of annual minutes) you DO NOT need to complete the form and pay the $125 fee.

About Our Office

We have a long history of serving the public. Beginning in April 1869 with the appointment of the first Secretary of the Territory of Wyoming, Edward M. Lee, by United States President Ulysses S. Grant, this office has always served the public from the State Capitol Building. However, following the completion of the Capitol Renovation Project in 2019, the Office is now located at Herschler Building East, Suites 100 and 101.
